Le Solstice has registered 100 actions since 2002, from one-time donations to long-term grant partnerships. In 17 years, the foundation has helped 57 organizations in 24 countries. This is the furthest back we were able to trace. "Meh, it's not much in 17 years", you might think to yourself, but we are celebrating over here!
Le Solstice is a growing foundation, but a small foundation still. It's made up of a board of six people - of which one person is managing CSO partnerships at global level, and an additional two country delegates managing student sponsorships at local level in Tanzania and Cambodia.
Furthermore, for about 14 of the 17 years, Le Solstice didn't have the resources to take part in restricted, controlled and goal-oriented partnerships. It took part in spontaneous unrestricted projects in the seven countries it traveled to often and knew well: India, Tanzania, Uruguay, Switzerland, Madagascar, Burkina Faso and Cambodia. Seven countries that inspired the seven rays of sunshine in its logo.
This unregulated method didn't mean it was having no impact, it just meant that it took more time for Le Solstice to jump in, and that it was more difficult to objectively evaluate a project, optimize resources, and measure impact afterwards.
In the years 2016 and 2017, Le Solstice restructured and was able to start putting a system in place that allowed it to establish partnerships with more organizations from more countries. Its method went from trust-based and unregulated to regulated, procedural and evaluative, allowing more requests to come in from around the world.

There were 67 actions started from 2002 to 2015 (including the one from the unknown date), and 33 actions started from 2016 to date. The growth rate went up from an average 4.5 actions per year before 2016 to 6.6 actions per year since 2016. Moreover, we have a record of actions taken within a year with 17 in 2019!
This is why 100 actions is exciting! This is why 57 organizations is exciting! This is why 24 countries is exciting!

Le Solstice a enregistré 100 actions depuis 2002, des dons ponctuels aux partenariats de subvention à long terme. En 17 ans, la fondation a aidé 57 organisations dans 24 pays. C'est le plus loin que nous ayons pu remonter. "Meh, ce n'est pas grand chose en 17 ans", vous vous dites peut-être, mais nous faisons la fête ici ! Le Solstice est une fondation en pleine croissance, mais une petite fondation encore. Elle est composée d'un conseil d'administration de six personnes - dont une personne gère les partenariats des OSC au niveau mondial, et deux autres délégués nationaux qui gèrent les parrainages d'étudiants au niveau local en Tanzanie et au Cambodge. De plus, pendant 14 des 17 années, le Solstice n'a pas eu les ressources nécessaires pour participer à des partenariats restreints, contrôlés et orientés vers des objectifs précis. Il a pris part à des projets spontanés sans restriction dans les sept pays où il se rendait souvent et qu'il connaissait bien : L'Inde, la Tanzanie, l'Uruguay, la Suisse, Madagascar, le Burkina Faso et le Cambodge. Sept pays qui ont inspiré les sept rayons de soleil de son logo. Cette méthode non réglementée ne signifiait pas qu'elle n'avait aucun impact, mais simplement qu'il fallait plus de temps pour que Le Solstice se lance et qu'il était plus difficile d'évaluer objectivement un projet, d'optimiser les ressources et de mesurer l'impact par la suite. En 2016 et 2017, Le Solstice s'est restructuré et a pu commencer à mettre en place un système qui lui a permis d'établir des partenariats avec plus d'organisations de plus de pays. Sa méthode est passée d'une méthode basée sur la confiance et non réglementée à une méthode réglementée, procédurale et évaluative, permettant à un plus grand nombre de demandes de venir du monde entier.

Il y a eu 67 actions commencées de 2002 à 2015 (y compris celle de la date inconnue), et 33 actions commencées de 2016 à ce jour. Le taux de croissance est passé d'une moyenne de 4,5 actions par an avant 2016 à 6,6 actions par an depuis 2016. De plus, nous avons un record d'actions entreprises en un an avec 17 en 2019 !
C'est pourquoi 100 actions, c'est excitant ! C'est pourquoi 57 organisations, c'est passionnant ! C'est pourquoi 24 pays, c'est incroyable !
